FEATS OF THE WEEK: ESPN televised a double-header matching Top 25 teams in the National Prep Poll. Mouth of Wilson, Va., Oak Hill jumped to No. 2 in the rankings after knocking off then-No. 2 Lithonia, Ga., Miller Grove, 82-78, at Morehouse College. Senior guard D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera (committed to Georgetown) led Oak Hill with 20 points. Miller Grove big man Tony Parker (uncommitted) had 29 points and 10 rebounds. ... In another ESPN game, No. 5 Flower Mound, Texas, Marcus edged No. 6 Rockville, Md., Montrose Christian, 42-40, in Lewisville, Texas. Marcus senior forward Nick Banyard (New Mexico) hit a game-winning 3-pointer with less than a minute to play. ... No. 19 Brooklyn, Lincoln edged regionally ranked Baltimore, Patterson, 71-66 in overtime, at the I-95 Challenge at Towson University. According to the New York Post, super soph Isaiah Whitehead led Lincoln with 23 points. Junior guard Aquille Carr had 36 in a losing effort for Patterson. ... According to the Bay City Times, senior forward Matt Costello had 22 points and 22 rebounds to lead Bay City, Mich., Western in a rout over rival Bay City, Central, 69-32. Costello, a 6-foot-10 senior, has signed with Michigan St. ... MLive.com reports senior Lucas McKian of Fremont, Mich., had 23 points, 20 rebounds and 10 blocked shots in his team’s 69-44 blowout of Howard City, Tri-County.
