PrepNation 101 Preseason Countdown: No. 60 Mount Carmel

PrepNation.com continues the most comprehensive package of preseason high school football rankings ever published. We are counting down the PrepNation 101 Preseason High School Football Rankings, from No. 101 to No. 26, leading up to the release of the official preseason National Prep Poll on August 3.

60. Mount Carmel (Chicago)
Last season: 10-3, Class 8A state semifinalist
Coach: Frank Lenti
Key players: RB Milton Greer (6-0, 195, Sr.), OL Mike Husar (6-2, 250, Sr.), DT Nathan Ollie (6-2, 260, Sr.), WR-FS Jack Sherlock (6-3, 195, Sr.), QB Chris Sujka (5-10, 180, Jr.)
Outlook: Mount Carmel is always a team to watch in the Illinois state championship derby. The Caravan has claimed first or second place an impressive 10 times since 1995, with their most recent championship coming in 2002. This year’s team will benefit from the return of Greer, an excellent back who eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards last season and scored 19 touchdowns. Ollie, a Ball St., is a disruptive force on the defensive line. Sherlock is a key playmaker on both sides of the ball.
