52. Peachtree Ridge (Suwannee, Ga.)
Last season: 12-3 last season, Class 5A state runner-up
Coach: Bill Ballard
Key players: WR Brad Roby (5-11, 180, Sr.), RB Brandon Stanley (6-3, 205, Sr.), OT Trevor McBurnett (6-4, 297, Sr.), FS Juan Burnett (6-1, 195, Sr.), QB Nick Lombardo (5-11, 170, Sr.), LB Eric Odonkor (5-11, 200, Sr.), LB Tanner Botts (6-2, 215, Jr.), LB Tyler Botts (6-2, 210, Jr.)
Outlook: Eleven starters are back for the Lions, who were state runner-ups last season after tying for the 5A championship in 2006. Veteran QB Lombardo will look to Vanderbilt-bound WR Roby to make the passing game go. Stanley, also a Division I prospect, returns to his starting spot at tailback. The offensive line has two starters back including McBurnett, an all-region performer last season. The strength of the defense is at linebacker, where three of four starters are back, and the secondary, where two regulars return.
