PrepNation 101 Preseason Countdown: No. 42 Colerain

PrepNation.com continues the most comprehensive package of preseason high school football rankings ever published. We are counting down the PrepNation 101 Preseason High School Football Rankings, from No. 101 to No. 26, leading up to the release of the official preseason National Prep Poll on August 3.

42. Colerain (Cincinnati)
Last season: 11-2, lost in Region 4 final
Coach: Tom Bolden
Key players: QB Greg Tabar (6-0, 175, Sr.), OL Brandon Good (5-11, 260, Sr.), OL Joe Campbell (6-1, 250, Sr.), RB Trayion Durham (6-1, 225, Jr.), RB Tyler Williams (5-7, 160, Jr.), LB-S Tyon Dixon (6-0, 195, Sr.), DB Chris Dukes (5-9, 165, Jr.), D’arius Godfrey (6-0, 180, Sr.)
Outlook: The Cardinals will field a veteran team with plenty of talent at the offensive and defensive skill positions. Colerain’s difficult-to-defend option offense is once again in the capable hands of Tabar, a good leader and near 4.0 student in the classroom. Durham and Williams lead a stable of three capable juniors who will split carries at the running back positions. Good and Campbell anchor the offensive line, one of Colerain's strengths, traditionally. On defense, the leader is Dixon, a Louisville recruit. Dukes and Godfrey carry the banner for what could be the best secondary in Cincinnati this season.

This is to low. Colerain is a top 2 candidate to win the State title. The sad thing is that their schedule this year is possible their toughest ever and if they were to run the table and go 15-0, starting at 43 isn't going to give them any shot at a mythical national title.

Oh well, they will have to prove it on the field...once again.

There had better only be one Ohio team ahead of them because this ranking is wayyyyy too low for Colerain this season, it's all on paper right now, but this team COULD be nearly as good as the '04 team.

Wow. I guess it was way way way to high. Better beat Elder if you want host a playoff game this year.
