PrepNation 101 Preseason Countdown: No. 43 St. Bonaventure

PrepNation.com continues the most comprehensive package of preseason high school football rankings ever published. We are counting down the PrepNation 101 Preseason High School Football Rankings, from No. 101 to No. 26, leading up to the release of the official preseason National Prep Poll on August 3.

43. St. Bonaventure (Ventura, Calif.)
Last season: 14-1, Division III state champion
Coach: Todd Therrien
Key players: LB Dylan Davis (6-0, 235, Sr.), DB-WR Troy Hill (5-11, 165, Sr.), OL Giovanni DiPoalo (6-4, 260, Sr.), QB Logan Meyer (6-1, 205, Sr.), RB Devon Blackledge (5-9, 165, Sr.), DE-TE Daniel Miguel (6-4, 240, Sr.), DE-TE Cody Kurz (6-3, 245, Jr.), OL David Barajas (6-3, 290, So.)
Outlook: The Seraphs have 14 returning starters with at least 10 Division I prospects on their roster. All-state LB Davis was the leader of a defense that allowed only two opponents to score 20 or more points. He is flanked on one end by Kurz, a future blue chip recruit who started as a sophomore. On the other side of the ball, DiPoalo, a future USC Trojan, anchors a talented offensive line. The unit also includes a strong up-and-comer in Barajas, who started as a freshman. The running game should be strong with Blackledge resuming starting tailback duties after a 1,000-yard season. Making the offense go once again will be Meyer, who had over 2,300 passing yards with 24 touchdowns and only five interceptions.
