PrepNation.com: Week 15 National Prep Football Poll released

WAUKEE, Iowa -- The 15th National Prep Poll of the football season includes the return to the Top 25 of two teams that were nationally ranked earlier this season. No. 24 Hudson (Ohio) inched back into the national poll after advancing to the Division I state semifinals. The Explorers would likely move much higher if they defeat No. 20 St. Edward (Lakewood) this Saturday. Also returning was No. 25 Chandler (Ariz.). The Wolves are playing in their first state championship game against rival Hamilton (Chandler) on Friday.

FEATS OF THE WEEK: South Jordan, Utah, Bingham became the first Top 25 team to post a state championship this season. The ninth-ranked Miners knocked off American Fork, Utah, 20-3, for their second consecutive 5A state crown and fourth in six years. ... Regionally-ranked Kimberly, Wis., notched its 28^th straight win with a 31-6 blowout of Hartland, Wis., Arrowhead in the Division 1 state championship. It’s the fourth state title in eight years for the Papermakers. ... Regionally-ranked Eden Prairie, Minn., became the first large-school team in its state to win four state titles in a row. The Eagles held off Fridley, Minn., Totino-Grace, 28-27, in the 6A final. The game was played at TCF Bank Stadium, which was hosting Minnesota’s first outdoor football title games since 1981. ... West Des Moines, Iowa, Dowling re-joined the regional rankings after a 49-14 rout of previously-unbeaten Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Washington, for the Class 4A state title. It was the second straight crown for Dowling, which got 213 total yards and four touchdowns from Iowa-committed senior quarterback Ryan Boyle. ... Mililani, Hawaii, will finish the season ranked for the first time after upsetting then-No. 19 Honolulu, Punahou, 53-45, in the Division I state championship. Junior McKenzie Milton tossed seven touchdown passes to lead Mililani. ... Junior Mason Fine of Locust Grove, Okla., set his state’s single-season record for passing yards during a 40-32 win over Tulsa, Okla., Berryhill. Fine threw for 301 yards in the game, upping his season total to 4,261 yards. His 64 touchdown passes this year is also a state record.

Doug Huff compiled the rankings from 1987 until 1999. Jamie DeMoney has compiled the poll since the start of the 1999 basketball season to the present.
