     FEATS OF THE WEEK: No. 22 Folsom, Calif., junior Jake Browning threw seven touchdown passes to spark a 63-39 win over Elk Grove, Calif., Pleasant Grove. Browning finished the regular season with 56 touchdown passes in 10 games, a new state record. ... Kenton, Ohio, senior Justin Sawmiller caught 10 passes for 161 yards as his team steamrolled Galion, Ohio, 58-14, in a first-round Division IV state playoff game. Sawmiller now has 402 receptions in four seasons. He broke the national record for career receptions earlier this year. ... Senior Jake Purichia of Indianapolis, Cardinal Ritter set the Indiana record for touchdown passes in a career during a 35-10 blowout of Indianapolis, Speedway in round three of the 2A state playoffs. Purichia had two touchdowns in the game, pushing his four-year total to 131. ... Senior Tyus Mason ran for 470 yards and five touchdowns as West Des Moines, Iowa, Valley hammered Ames, Iowa, 63-20, in the 4A state quarterfinals. Mason’s single-game total is second-best in state history. ... Regionally-ranked Aledo, Texas, ended the regular season with a 66-10 rout of Fort Worth, Texas, Trimble Tech. Through 10 games, the Bearcats are averaging over 68 points per game -- well ahead of the national-record pace set by Albemarle, N.C., which scored 903 points in 16 games in 2001.
