     FEATS OF THE WEEK: Senior Arkeel Newsome of regionally-ranked Ansonia, Conn., became his state’s all-time leader in rushing yardage. Newsome (committed to UConn) ran for 396 yards in a 56-21 blowout of Monroe, Conn., Masuk to push his career total to 8,385 yards. He ran for six scores in the game, extending to 145 the state record he also owns for career touchdowns. ... Senior Ben Wellman (uncommitted) of Neola, Iowa, Tri-Center ran for a state-record 484 yards, but his team still lost, 38-27, to Panora, Iowa, Panorama. ... A new Wisconsin single-season record for passing touchdowns was set by senior Matt Ferris of Appleton, Wis., Xavier. Ferris (uncommitted) threw for six scores in a 50-18 rout of Berlin, pushing his record total to 41. ... Folsom, Calif., entered the Top 25 after steamrolling previously-unbeaten Carmichael, Calif., Jesuit, 56-14. The No. 23 Bulldogs are led by junior quarterback Jake Browning (uncommitted), who had five touchdown passes in the game and a total of 38 in seven games this season. ... Aledo, Texas, cemented its spot in the regional rankings with an eye-popping 91-0 blowout of Fort Worth, Texas, Western Hills. The Bearcats are averaging just under 70 points per game and their average margin of victory this season is 62 points.
