FEATS OF THE WEEK: Top-ranked Louisville, Ky., Trinity turned in another national championship-caliber performance to beat Georgetown, Scott County, 62-21, in the Class 6A championship game. Juniors Dalyn Dawkins and Travis Wright ran for 153 and threw for 323 yards, respectively, and were responsible for eight of Trinity’s touchdowns. The win gave Trinity its state-record 21st state title overall and ninth in 11 seasons. The Shamrocks have won 25 consecutive games. ... Meanwhile, Ramsey, N.J., Don Bosco likely will fall short in its quest to win a second National Prep Poll title in three seasons. However, the Ironmen made a strong case for No. 1 by closing the season with a 42-14 rout of regionally ranked Oradell, N.J., Bergen Catholic in the Non-Public Group IV state championship at MetLife Stadium. Don Bosco’s dominant defense came up big, forcing five turnovers and recording nine sacks, including four from blue chip end Darius Hamilton. It was Don Bosco’s sixth consecutive state title and national-best 46th straight victory. ... Regionally ranked Duncan, S.C., Byrnes captured its eighth state title in 10 seasons. The Rebels capitalized on four turnovers – two of which were returned for touchdowns – to upset then-No. 3 Gaffney, 31-24, in the Class 4A-I championship game. ... Junior Charlie High of Knoxville, Tenn., Christian Academy broke championship-game records with 476 passing yards and seven touchdown throws in his team’s 49-14 blowout of Milan in the Class 3A final. According to the Knoxville News-Sentinel, High finished the year with a state-record 5,191 passing yards and 69 total touchdowns.

(2) Two-loss teams in the Top 25 of the entire country? What a joke. Just because you had Team "A" in the rankings for 15 weeks, then found out how wrong you were about them when they lost doesn't mean whoever beat them must be worthy of a ranking. Take the blinders off and recognize when you got it wrong.
