URBANDALE, Iowa -- The second National Prep Basketball Poll of the season features three new Top 25 teams.
Dr. Krop (Miami) made the highest debut of the trio at No. 11. The Lightning made a impact the opening weekend of the season by blitzing then-No. 5 Winter Park (Fla.), 76-55.
Central (Memphis, Tenn.) went from unranked in the preseason to No. 12 after capturing the Martin Luther King Jr. tournament in Memphis. The Warriors bested a field that included No. 13 Melrose (Memphis, Tenn.) and regionally ranked White Station (Memphis, Tenn.).
Christ (Arden, N.C.) slipped into this week's national rankings at No. 25. The Greenies are off to a 4-0 start to the season, including a 16-point victory over regionally ranked Westchester Country Day (High Point, N.C.).
