PrepNation 101 Preseason Countdown: No. 12 Jenks

PrepNation.com continues the most comprehensive package of preseason high school football rankings ever published. We are counting down the PrepNation 101 Preseason High School Football Rankings, from No. 101 to No. 26, leading up to the release of the official preseason National Prep Poll on August 3.

12. Jenks (Okla.)
Last season: 12-2, Class 6A state runner-up
Coach: Allan Trimble
Key players: WR Jarrett Lake (6-2, 190, Sr.), RB Colton Dost (5-10, 172, Sr.), OT Jake Alexander (6-2, 275, Sr.), OT Eric Graham (6-4, 280, Sr.), QB Sawyer Kollmorgen (6-1, 195, Jr.), DT David Lore (6-2, 255, Sr.), TE Tyler Ott (6-2, 245, Sr.), Hunter Johnson (6-2, 220, Jr.)
Outlook: The Trojans, who have won six state championships this decade, begin the year ranked in the National Prep Poll’s Top 25 for the seventh time since 2000. Trimble, who has lost only 16 games in 13 years at Jenks, has plenty of good things to say about his offense. The group has eight returning starters including three experienced linemen, led by Tulsa recruit Alexander. The passing game should flourish with another year of seasoning for talented young QB Kollmorgen. As a sophomore, he passed for 1,437 yards and 11 touchdowns. One of his top targets will be Lake, an Oklahoma-bound playmaker who has just scratched the surface of his potential. Lore and talented junior LB Johnson will anchor a defense with only three full-time returning starters. If the Trojans defense can mature in a hurry, a 10th state title in 14 years is a distinct possibility.
