PrepNation 101 Preseason Countdown: No. 73 Grayson

PrepNation.com continues the most comprehensive package of preseason high school football rankings ever published. We are counting down the PrepNation 101 Preseason High School Football Rankings, from No. 101 to No. 26, leading up to the release of the official preseason National Prep Poll on August 3.

73. Grayson (Loganville, Ga.)
Last season: 13-1, Class 5A state semifinalist
Coach: Mickey Conn
Key players: RB Ean Pemberton (5-4, 155, Sr.), DT Shawn Green (6-3, 280, Sr.), DL Joe Champaign (6-1, 235, Sr.), LB Terry Williams (6-1, 240, Sr.)
Outlook: Powered by the running legs of the diminutive Pemberton, the Rams jolted the Peach State last season by starting 13-0 and upsetting nationally ranked Lowndes in the state quarterfinals. Several key members of that team are back including Pemberton, who proved a tough target to tackle and ran for nearly 2,000 yards as a junior. The defense is led by Williams, a Georgia Tech recruit, and 2008 all-state selection Champaign.
