PrepNation 101 Preseason Countdown: No. 47 Moeller

PrepNation.com continues the most comprehensive package of preseason high school football rankings ever published. We are counting down the PrepNation 101 Preseason High School Football Rankings, from No. 101 to No. 26, leading up to the release of the official preseason National Prep Poll on August 3.

47. Moeller (Cincinnati)
Last season: 6-5, lost in first round of Division I playoffs
Coach: John Rodenberg
Key players: QB Andrew Hendrix (6-3, 220, Sr.), OT Jeff Tanner (6-4, 280, Sr.), TE David Schneider (6-3, 245, Sr.), OT Ali Kassem (6-5, 330, Sr.), RB Richie Dyer (5-11, 175, Jr.), DE Marcus Rush (6-3, 240, Sr.), LB Nick Galvin (6-0, 220, Sr.)
Outlook: Rodenberg welcomes back seven offensive and six defensive starters for his second year at the helm. The longtime Cincinnati-area head coach hopes to lead the Crusaders to their eighth state championship, but first since 1985. There is great talent at the QB position, with Notre Dame-bound Hendrix back for another season. As a junior, threw for over 1,600 yards with 11 touchdowns. Dyer is a talented runner with good quickness. The offensive front features a pair of Division I recruits with Tanner (Wake Forest) and TE Schneider (Ball St.). Moeller’s secondary is short on experience but the front seven is in fine shape with Division I talents Rush and Galvin returning.
