PrepNation 101 Preseason Countdown: No. 78 Highlands continues the most comprehensive package of preseason high school football rankings ever published. We are counting down the PrepNation 101 Preseason High School Football Rankings, from No. 101 to No. 26, leading up to the release of the official preseason National Prep Poll on August 3.

78. Highlands (Fort Thomas, Ky.)
Last season: 14-1, Class 5A state champion
Coach: Dale Mueller
Key players: WR-DB Austin Collinsworth (6-2, 190, Sr.), LB-TE Brandon Roller (6-1, 225, Sr.), OT-DT Tyler Grubbs (6-6, 290, Sr.), QB-DB Will Bardo (6-4, 200, Sr.), TE-DE Kyle Welz (6-5, 245, Sr.)
Outlook: With 15 returning starters, the Bluebirds are on a crash course for their eighth state championship in 14 seasons. Veteran coach Mueller says there are as many eight Division I players on the roster. Collinsworth, son of former NFL player and current NFL television analyst Cris Collinsworth, had more than 1,000 all-purpose yards and five kick returns for touchdowns last season. Grubbs, a Miami of Ohio recruit, and Welz lead an experienced group of linemen.
