Week 14 National Prep Basketball Poll released

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A sure sign of the calm before the storm that is postseason tournament season, the Top 25 teams in the National Prep Poll remained completely unchanged for the first time this season.

More than half the teams in this week's rankings held the same position as the prior week. The only major shift in the poll was Detroit Country Day (Beverly Hills, Mich.) dropping from No. 5 to No. 13 after losing, 73-67, at No. 12 Bloomington (Ind.) South on Saturday.

While postseason action is just beginning in most states, No. 10 LeFlore (Mobile, Ala.) could be crowed state champion by the end of the week. The Rattlers advanced to the 5A state semifinals last Friday with a 70-65 defeat of Eufaula. Senior DeMarcus Cousins, the nation's top-rated big man, led the way with 35 points and 13 rebounds.
