Maxprep approach in ranking teams sounds good however the results are to me questionable. Norcross, state champions for two consecutive yrs., has only one lost this yr. (9-1) and avg winning by 35pts per game, is ranked 98. Last week we were ranked 87 and beat a local by 41 pts and were moved to 98. This week because of our reputation and performance we will be highlighted on ESPN against another nationally ranked team. The other national ranking polls have us ranked from 8th to 17th. So does anyone else have a similar story?
Yes. Nansemond River High School has been one of the top rated programs in the Tidewater area for years. Currently ranked No. 1 in Tidewater, No. 1 in the state by VirginiaPreps.com (rivals), and regionally here. Just beat crosstown rival and a state-ranked team in Kings Fork. Nonetheless, Maxpreps has Nansemond River ranked 18th in Virginia. One thing I did notice...they dont have all of the right information. They have the wrong schedule, the wrong scores...etc.etc. Its really embarrassing, if I'm them.
