Week 15 National Prep Football Poll released

URBANDALE, Iowa -- The 15th weekly National Prep Football Poll of the season features the return of Stony Point (Round Rock, Texas) to the national Top 25, a place the Tigers began the season.

Stony Point were 19th in the preseason and rose as high as No. 12, but then dropped into the regional rankings in mid-October due to inconsistent play. After last week's 55-31 rout over a red-hot Klein Oak (Spring) squad, the Tigers have lept back into the national poll at No. 24. They are 12-0 and can win at least 13 games for the third straight season with a win this week in the third round of the 5A/I state playoffs. Stony Point is one of three Texas teams (including No. 1 Euless Trinity and No. 4 Katy) competing in that bracket.

Also entering the tail end of this week's Top 25 is defending Ohio Division I champion Davidson (Hilliard). The Wildcats captured their 20th straight victory when they knocked off then-No. 25 Pickerington Central, 13-6, for the Region 3 championship. They held the Tigers 33 points below their season average.

Kind of surprised you didn't put STA in front of Trinity after they struggled and STA dominated. South Panola also struggled. I would have done the top 4 like this.

STA
Katy
Trinity
SP

In the regional rankings you have Easton, Pa ahead of Allentown Central Catholic? ACC won that conference and beat the team that beat Easton. That doesnt make any sense.

SW No. 7, Coppell (12-0) is also competing in the Texas 5A Div. 1 bracket. They are facing Midland (11-1) in Midland this week.

Tom,
Trinity struggled against a very tough Allen team that is a top ten team in Texas. The way the brackets are set up made this an early match up for Allen that if they did not play Trinity may have advanced another two rounds. STA dominated a team that was not very tough. Also, STA beat Dallas Skyline early in the season 31-3and this past weekend that same Dallas Skyline team was beaten 38-0by DeSoto who has two losses in the state of Texas. If anything STA is the team ranked too high.

In Texas, Katy def over Trinity. Even with all the championships, and the way they've been dominating this year, even ran over Cinco Ranch this year, Katy still doesn't get the respect in Texas. If they dominate North Shore (again) lets see what happens.
