Week 14 National Prep Football Poll released

URBANDALE, Iowa -- For the first time in nine weeks, more than one team in the National Prep Poll's Top 25 was defeated. Both upsets took place in Ohio, opening the door for a pair of fellow Buckeye State powers to make their season debuts in the national rankings.

St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio), which catapulted from the regional rankings to No. 10 this week, is one of the nation's top turnaround stories this year. The Eagles are 12-0 after defeating then-No. 10 Glenville (Cleveland), 42-22, in the second round of the Division I state playoffs. A year ago, they won only four games all season.

The No. 25 team this week is Central (Pickerington, Ohio). The Tigers are 11-0 and own a win over regionally ranked Virginia power Oscar Smith (Chesapeake). They can move into the Division I semifinals with a win Saturday over regionally ranked and defending state champion Davidson (Hilliard).

Doesn't Glenville's whoopin have any effect on Dwyer's legitimacy? Also, that Ohio bracket is a joke. Every year ya'll hype up Glenville, Colerain, St. X, etc. and they always lose to some other no name team from who knows where. Next year keep all the Ohio teams in the regional rankings until they beat someone legit.
