Week 9 National Prep Football Poll released

URBANDALE, Iowa -- For the third time this season, the included teams in the National Poll's Top 25 remained the same. There was some movement in the rankings, however, with two-time defending Virginia Division 5 champion Phoebus (Hampton) making the biggest leap of the week.

The Phantoms are winning by an average margin of 50-3 this season and currently own the nation's third longest winning streak (36 games). They jumped up seven spots to No. 7 in this week's rankings.

Defending Florida 4A titlist Dwyer (Palm Beach Gardens) is another team that made a significant move in the national poll this week. The Panthers advanced two places to No. 8 after their fourth consecutive dominant victory following a controversial season-opening loss in Ohio to No. 4 Glenville (Cleveland).

Meanwhile, Trinity (Euless, Texas) is No. 1 in the rankings for the ninth straight week. The Trojans continue to dominate their regular-season competition, winning by an average score of 51-9.

Just curious -- how are the region's defined? More importantly, I'm wondering about the East Coast region. Thanks!
