Week 4 National Prep Football Poll released

URBANDALE, Iowa -- With each passing week, Mississippi uber power South Panola (Batesville) is looking more and more the part of a National Prep Poll title contender.

The second-ranked Tigers, who have won 136 of their last 139 games, improved to 3-0 this season with a 39-2 blowout of Tennessee power Memphis University. The Owls entered the game with a 28-game winning streak.

No. 3 Manatee (Bradenton, Fla.) also continues to impress. The Hurricanes followed up a nationally televised preseason rout of then-No. 2 Plant (Tampa) with a 39-16 blowout on the road at regionally ranked Woodland Hills (PIttsburgh).

Either South Panola or Manatee could make a strong case for No. 1 in the Prep Poll next week should top-ranked Trinity (Euless, Texas) slip up. The Trojans play Monday morning against Shiloh Christian (Springdale, Ark.) in the opening game of a Kirk Herbstreit Classic quadruple header at Cowboys Stadium.

Mallard Creek is from Charlotte, North Carolina, not Alabama.

I know you have Dorman (Roebuck, SC) nationally ranked, but right now both Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC) and Northwestern (Rock Hill, SC) are just as good as Dorman. In fact, I would choose both of those team to beat Dorman. Dorman has good defense, but not impressed with their offense at all. Wonder if Dorman has the offense to keep up with Mallard Creek and Northwestern who also play excellent D.

I love south panola. I think that they deserve everything that they are getting. My question is if they go through the season undefeated. Where will the national championship be played.
