FEATS OF THE WEEK - February 14, 2000 - By Jamie DeMoney

  • Blair Wilson, a 6-7 University of Colorado recruit, broke the Colorado state career scoring record during a 40-point effort in Westminster's 83-64 win over Ranum. Wilson has now scored 2,196 career points.
  • Deon Saunders scored a triple-double (34 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists) in No. 22 Washington, D.C., Spingarn's 107-37 romp over M.M. Washington.
  • In Chicago's City-Suburban Showdown at Northwestern University, No. 2 Chicago, Westinghouse defeated Downer's Grove, North, 69-64, before 4,828 fans.
  • Many of the top teams from the Northeast converged on Trenton, N.J., for the PrimeTime Shootout including No. 9 Lincroft, N.J., Christian Brothers, which beat Brooklyn, N.Y., La Salle, 47-35. No. 10 Bronx, N.Y., St. Raymond's pummeled Neptune, N.J., 104-71; No. 18 New York, Rice, downed Jersey City, N.J., St. Anthony, 62-50, and Philadelphia, Roman Catholic, 96-66; No. 25 Brooklyn, N.Y., Bishop Loughlin defeated Bayonne, N.J., Marist, 74-53; Elizabeth, N.J., St. Patrick whipped Shawnee, N.J., 56-35; and Middle Village, N.Y., Christ the King defeated Chester, Pa., 67-59.
