URBANDALE, Iowa -- For the first time in over a decade, Cincinnati Moeller is back in the National Prep Poll Top 25 rankings.
The Crusaders are No. 25 this week after defeating crosstown rival Elder, 35-13. It was the first home loss in 16 games for the Panthers, who were ranked No. 5 in the nation earlier this season.
Moeller has won nine of its last 10 games under second-year coach John Rodenberg. The Crusaders are seeking their first state championship since 1985. That was the final year of an 11-year run that saw Moeller win seven state titles and one USA Today national championship.
