Week 7 National Prep Football Poll released

URBANDALE, Iowa -- California's ultra competitive Pac-5 Division has a new 'team to beat' with the emergence of Edison (Huntington Beach). The Chargers are ranked No. 15 this week after upsetting then-No. 6 Servite (Anaheim), 23-9.

Through four weeks of play, Edison is already the third different Pac-5 contender to be ranked in the National Prep Poll's Top 25.

Defending Illinois 8A titlist Maine South (Park Ridge) also enters the national rankings this week at No. 24. The Hawks' high-flying offense has picked up where it left off last season, scoring 50 or more points in four out of five games this season. Last year, Maine South scored over 50 in six out of 14 contests.
