PrepNation 101 Preseason Countdown: No. 75 Monsignor Pace

PrepNation.com continues the most comprehensive package of preseason high school football rankings ever published. We are counting down the PrepNation 101 Preseason High School Football Rankings, from No. 101 to No. 26, leading up to the release of the official preseason National Prep Poll on August 3.

75. Monsignor Pace (Opa Locka, Fla.)
Last season: 11-3, Class 3A state semifinalist
Coach: Alvin Slaughter
Key players: QB Stephen Morris (6-2, 190, Sr.), RB De’Andre Johnson (5-9, 205, Sr.), LB Issac Dixon (6-0, 185, Sr.), OG John Ragoo (6-7, 345, Sr.), OT Zachary Soto (6-6, 265, Sr.), CB Normando Harris (6-0, 180, Sr.), DB Jabari Gorman (5-11, 180, Jr.)
Outlook: The Spartans are expected to challenge fellow nationally ranked powers Bolles and Pahokee in the small but mighty Class 2B state playoffs. Morris, who had over 2,000 passing yards and 19 touchdowns last season, is one of 13 returning starters. Johnson also returns to the offensive backfield after a 1,000-plus rushing yards junior season. Helping pave the way Ragoo and Soto, who form a mammoth left side of the offensive line. On defense, the secondary features a great junior talent in Gorman.
