while I agree with the majority of your ratings, I do have a problem with some of them. I have lived in four different states and am familiar with the difference in the levels of play in many different areas. While this does change from year to year, their are some inconsistencies in your ratings. One of those is Maryville, Tennesse. Since I live close by, I know that they never play a real quality opponent. Compare this team with the team from Chamberland in Tampa, Florida. I would be shocked if Maryville could beat Hillsbourgh or Tampa Bay Tech. I truly believe you need to give a little more credit to teams that play tougher schedules and not worry so much about winning steaks.

i also agree with most of your ratings most of the time. however, i believe that prepnation gives too much credit to teams with winning streaks that do not play enough quality opponents. teams that challenge themselves and play tough opponents and might lose (play to win) deserve more credit than teams that pad their record with wins against weaker oppenents (play to not lose). while i respect football in all states, i believe the caliber of football in the bigger states like california, texas, and florida is on a higher level than most other states and deserve more teams to be in the top 25. i also believe prepnation gives too much credit to school prestige. what happened in the past is done and over with. for example, de la salle has two close wins to start the year. one against serra who i do not know much about and another against loyola who has not made much noise in years. while de la salle is a quality program, they are not like the teams in the past and should not be ranked as high as they are nationally or regionally.

I mostly agree with the previous writer. I can't complain about Trinity, TX being #1 since that's my team, but Massey has 5 out of the top 10, and 11 out of the top 25 from TX. Computers aren't prejudiced. They just compute objectively. Also note that Tx teams won 7 out of 8 Herbstreit games if I remember correctly.

Every one should look at this kid from Burlngame HS in California 6'4" 220 17 years old runs 4.6 forty plays both way OLB and Tight end. This is one of the best high school football players I have seen in the Bay Area since Brady. Plus 3.6 GPA 1500 on SAT USC. Cal Oregon are on his short list.
GREAT PLAYER
