End of 3Q: No. 1 St. X 14, No. 3 DeMatha 7

Several St. X players left the field with cramps during the third quarter. That, a nice leaping catch over the middle by St. X WR Stephon Ball, and the second missed FG of the day for St. X kicker Danny Milligan were pretty much the highlights of the third quarter.

DeMatha connected on one long downfield pass early in the second half, but it was called back due to a procedure penalty. Let's see if they try again after trying to pound it at St. X for awhile.

St X puts the lock on this one at 28-7 after some great defense. I agree with you about Coach Spect being maybe the best coach in the country. I am a Colerain grad and fan, but what X does year in and year out on defense, without always having D-1 players is incredible and speaks to the coaches gameplan and the players ability to execute it incredibly well.

I still think Cincinnati has some of the best football played anywhere in the country, although I will admit I don't think Colerain has it all this year. Maybe Hoover is better than I expected, but Colerain didn't look as good as they have in the past and seem to be vulnerable to the deep ball, which is not good.
